System Requirements

Supported OS: Windows Vista through 11
Supported Word: 2003 through 2024, Microsoft 365 (desktop only*)
Architecture: 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) compatible

Install/Uninstall

In order to accomplish the installation of GrindEQ Math Utilities you must have the Administrative Rights on your computer: right click on the executable file and select Run as administrator.

Install

1. Close Microsoft Word. It is also recommended that you close all other running applications.
2. Run 'GrindEQ_Math_Utilities_N.exe' (where N is the version) and follow the installation instructions.
3. After the installation of GrindEQ Math Utilities is complete, choose the GrindEQ Options from the Windows Start menu. And then enable (or disable) optional GrindEQ Math ribbon, which will be integrated into Microsoft Word.

The GrindEQ Math ribbon contains macros. If your antivirus does not allow macros, use standard dialogs:
  Save As ... LaTeX [GrindEQ]
  Open ... LaTeX [GrindEQ]
  Save As ... Microsoft Equation [GrindEQ]

 Troubleshooting

Uninstall

1. Close Microsoft Word and GrindEQ Options.
2. Choose the GrindEQ Options from the Windows Start menu, and select Uninstall* from right-click menu.
   Otherwise, open Settings* from the Windows Start menu, and start Programs and Features.
   Otherwise, open Control Panel, and start Add or Remove Programs.
3. A dialog will be displayed with the list of installed apps. Select GrindEQ Math Utilities and follow the instructions.

• If the GrindEQ Math ribbon still appears on Microsoft Word menu, remove the template GrindEQ.dotm from Microsoft Word Startup folder manually. To locate the current Startup folder select Word Options | Advanced | File Locations.... Close Microsoft Word before removing GrindEQ.dotm.
• The GrindEQ Uninstaller will delete all installed language files. If you changed language files you need to copy them before uninstalling.

Update/Repair

To ensure full compatibility, please download the latest version of GrindEQ Math Utilities.

If you have GrindEQ installed on your machine, choose the GrindEQ Options from the Windows Start menu, and then click Update button. You will be able to install updates if any, or repair the current installation if it does not work properly.

• Close Microsoft Word before installing updates.
• You may be required to enter the administrator password.

Languages & Themes

You can select the preferable language and theme in system options. New languages and themes are available at GrindEQ website for free.

All GrindEQ modules support multilanguage interface. The interface structures are open, so you can modify the text of almost all interface elements: labels, buttons and messages. Everyone is welcome to supply their own languages and create new themes. Please visit Languages and themes specifications for details, or contact feedback@grindeq.com.

The GrindEQ Uninstaller can delete all installed language files. If you changed language files you need to copy them before uninstalling.
